SHADOW PUPPETS: "SECOND ACT"
SCRUB CLUB RECORDS 2006

The second chapter in the trilogy, prepare for plot twists and deceit!

A followup to the far-far underground "Eye4AnEye" album, the story continues as emcee MadHatter becomes possessed once again by the tortured soul of Samuel Wren and is forced to write wicked rhymes and take the blood of the guilty every night. This time he's joined by two new Puppets in his mission! But when the Ventriloquist finally shows his face and confronts the team he has created, what will the outcome be for our three anti-heroes?

Cheesy horror storytelling at it's finest, you will find new tales of sinner removal, club hits that talk about branches and sticks, and a climax on the level of an episode of The Muppet Show. Odd, indeed.

ALBUM FACTS AND TRIVIA
This cd is part two of a three-part Shadow Puppets series. The little-known first cd was titled "Eye4AnEye"and was limited to about 50 copies when it was released in 2002. It was the first time MadHatter and his bandmate Wicket Slang had ever produced and recorded music. Let's just say that Hatter has learned a LOT since then.

The cd met with good reviews by local underground music lovers, but the real kicker were the live Shadow Puppets shows at the time. Held every time at "The Rock," the venue has long been rumored haunted, and there was always something crazy going on there, even still to this day as "J.T.'s House Of Rock." The Rock was once a tuberculosis hospital and mental ward and features a morgue in the basement. What better a place for the Puppets to gain ground? Before every show, the Puppets and their nutty entourage would speak to the supposed spirits before every show and wish for their blessing. Concertgoers would snap pictures of the shows and see ghostly swirls that did not appear on video.

The best part about all this concerning our past shows at The Rock? We ain't making any of it up.

At the shows, you would find ventriloquist dummies, puppet dancers in chains, fog and lighting effects, and lots of crowd participation. Fun stuff. Their first show ever, they opened for superstars "The Used" and the one-hit-wonders "Handsome Devil."

However, about a year later, the original Shadow Puppets group disbanded. This album is the next chapter in the Puppets legacy, and it came 4 years after the first release. One more cd is planned to even this project out as a trilogy, and possibly on to bigger things; a full-featured live musical play/concert encompassing the whole mythology.

The visually stunning, professional music video for "Puppet Show" was filmed at the creepy-ass "Garden of Eden"
in Lucas, Kansas. It was the first music video ever filmed on the historical S.P. Dinsmoor property, with some shots just ten feet from old man Dinsmoor's open-glass grave. It was an honor. We hope he dug the music.

"Sway" is the real chart topper for the album so far, reaching an impressive #120 in the Alternative Hip Hop genre on Soundclick, beating out 71,172 other entries. In the overall Hip Hop categories, it hit #1883, beating out 1,043,483 other entries. God damn!
