OFFICIAL JUDGE COMMENTARY - MADHATTEREVALUATION OF YOUR CHALLENGE 1 TRACKThe instrumental: Yup, it's a classic, mellow, rolling 90's beat like people are saying here. It's crescent fresh, and I definitely dig it.
Timing: Not extremely strong. Except for Fatty, he's on point. Sorry to the other two.
Energy: Decent enough... but Fatty shines above here as well.
Emotion: Fatty is seriously like Super Mario Sunshine here. Sorry, that's bad wordplay, I don't mean to say he sounds like a cute video game. He's just the shiniest in the group. I will say the other guys do have emotion though, and that's good. You guys sound pretty confident, but Fatty has his balls flapping on the table.
Musicality: The beat itself is only a few bars, so it was no real challenge to anyone's musicality here. You guys did well as far as riding the beat, although Fatty was the only one that wasn't a little shaky at points. "CUMFUCIUS SAYS" and "They're gonna f-ffind out!"stick out like an albino kid's sore thumb.
Creativeness: There's not much to a track like this, it's been done a million times. But you accomplished it, at least.
Flow variety: All three are good at switching up their cadence. Bravo on that!
Vocal quality: Clear, but not all rappers have been mixed evenly, in fact, it's quite spiked between them.
Additional comments: I promised to be completely honest here, so let's talk about the elephant in the room. While the other dudes don't suck hard, Fatty Goodness would probably have had a much better chance entering by himself. He's just several levels past the other guys here. Decent crew-type track, though.
EVALUATION OF YOUR MUSIC SITE UPDATESFirst impression without having to scroll or click through anything: Personally, I like all the oriental stuff, but at first glance I think someone who isn't in the know of you guys might think they're about to see a Japanese metrosexual steakhouse table dancing group that wears eccentricly colored, not quite opaque, soft fabrics (Sorry to be extravagant here, but the name doesn't match the splash screen).
Graphical attractiveness: I like the Japanese theme. Godzilla is laying the fucking smack down! Everything is nice and tight and matching, and all the graphics are crisp and EQUALLY CUT, which I dig. I like when all graphics in a column are the same width, it's more professional that way. My only small gripe is that you can still see some sort of line template on your contact image. Also, the gray borders aren't even right compared to the actual click space. But I'm being picky here. The MySpace looks nice, boys. I like the color spectrum, and the way you colored the different artists worked and worked well. Pleasing on the eyes, this page.
Cohesiveness: Everything makes total sense and is to the point with a great amount of flair. Awesome.
Amount of content: Fantastic! A wonderful bio, individual member bios, graphical influences... The only complaint here is that there's not nearly enough pictures of you guys. The graphics for Silky Slimz are cool and all, but we need to be sure we know what you look like. If this is so Japanese themed, then I declare a need for fan service!
Overall professionalism of the sites: Very pleasing, very clean for a DIY outfit. You guys set the bar for a MySpace in this competition so far. And while that may sound goofy, at least it's a professional compliment. Looking good, guys.
Additional comments: The page keeps me interested. I would love to see an official site with even more focus on this theme without all the bullshit MySpace tacks on.
